Auburn Football Is Becoming A Disgrace to the Entire State of Alabama

Big Ev: Boise State UNDER 9 wins

Andy Avalos taking over the Broncos and making his head coaching debut is gonna have quite the work cut out for him. He comes into a solid situation with 16 returning starters from last years team but a brutally hard schedule, especially out of conference. They play Oklahoma State, at UCF and at BYU. In conference there also gonna have tough games vs Nevada, at Fresno State and at San Diego State. The strength of their schedule mixed with the strength of the Mountain West as a whole is gonna make it really tough on them to win 9 games. The offense was really good last year and brings back some strong talent but the defense was  atrocious. Even though Avalos is a good defensive mind I still feel it’s gonna take him more than a year to clean up the mess that was left for him.

Marty Mush: UConn UNDER 2.5 wins

This total comes down to a few games. You can chalk up almost every game on their schedule as an L besides three. Holy Cross, UMass and Yale. Yale and Holy Cross should be wins but with this team you never know they are absolutely putrid. UConn vs UMass has all the makings of a heavyweight championship fight. Two pillars of college football fighting for the ultimate glory. If UConn loses this game the under should cash with relative ease.

Ben Mintz: Auburn UNDER 7 wins

This may seem like a low win total for Auburn but there’s good reason for it, Auburn just isn’t a good football team. Bo Nix is absolutely not the player that Auburn fans hoped he would be two years ago when he threw that game winning TD pass against Oregon in Week 1. Not to mention they have an absolute gauntlet of a schedule. They play Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Mississippi State, South Carolina and at Penn State. To go over 7 wins they’d have to win 5 of these games and with Alabama and Georgia as almost guaranteed losses I just don’t see how they do it. Growing pains with a new coach mixed with a lack of talent that got their doors blown off by Northwestern in their bowl game last season should lead to a really tough season for the Tigers.

Brandon Walker: Fresno State OVER 6 wins and Kent State OVER 5.5 wins

There might not be any team in the country that got hit harder by Covid than Fresno State last season. They held no in person activities from March all the way until September 25th and still started the season 3-1 until they got hit by the Covid bug again and had two more games canceled. They found their QB in Jake Haener who averaged throwing for 337 yards per game last season while bringing back all three of their top WRs back and stud super senior RB Ronnie Rivers. They also return 9 starters on defense and even though they have some tough out of conference games in Oregon and UCLA I still think their in a strong position to win 7 games this year.

Kent State brings back stud QB Dustin Crum to lead an offense that scored a ton of points in the MAC last year. They led the nation in yards per game (607) and points per game (50) and were second in passing efficiency. All five starting offensive lineman return, all three leading running backs return and they return all but one leading receiver. This offense is primed to be an absolute juggernaut in the MAC and have potential to fly over this win total.

Rico Bosco: Duke UNDER 3.5 wins and Old Dominion UNDER 3.5 wins

Duke is going to be AWFUL this year. This is a team that led the country in turnovers last season and after Clemson transfer Chase Brice transferring again to App State, they’re starting a QB who’s never taken a meaningful snap at the collegiate level and two young, inexperienced tackles. Any talent they had on defense last year went to the NFL or graduated and what they have coming back isn’t very good. Losing a lot of talent off a team that already lacked talent is a brutal combination to be coming into a season trying to improve on a 2-9 campaign. It’s hard to see the Blue Devils winning 4 football games this year.

Old Dominion was the worst team in Conference USA last year. They were 1-11 including a 0-8 record in conference. They have question marks at every level of their offense. All three QBs have either looked bad in limited playing time or haven’t played at all. The offensive line is bad and inexperienced and both returning running backs have ran for a combined 165 yards in their careers. They lost all their best pass rushers on defense and got destroyed by the transfer portal. This team is an absolute mess. 4 wins? Doubt it.
